The magazine I am looking at is a vogue magazine which is
typically associated with fashion. The masthead is in the typical font that
vogue use on their covers. The colour changes depending on the colour scheme of
that issue. In this case they have used a black font. The Masthead is covered
by the main image which is Rhianna who is a popular singer. However, them using
the same font and style for each issue, it is still easy to recognise that it
is a ‘vogue magazine’. The colour scheme for the whole cover is neutrals with
beige and nude colours with some black and white. This could link to the fact
one of the cover lines are “I’m feeling a shift. I’m growing up” which
typically these colours can be very mature and more colourful bright colours
are usually related with youth. In this front cover, there is 5-6 fonts. We see
one font for her name which is a larger font and the cover lines in different
font size and font. Main celebrity names are in bold. All the cover lines are
in white. The main cover line is “Rihanna on fearlessness, Fenty and finding
love”. We see alliteration with the three words starting with F. The dateline is “nov” which we see in the top
righthand corner under the “Vogue” meaning this is the November addition. The
primary target audience for this magazine is women typically who like fashion
as vogue is seen as a top tier fashion magazine. A secondary target is people
who like Rihanna and want to read about her.
